Lawrence Transit seeks feedback on proposed route changes

Kevin PowellCity, Transit

Due to the coronavirus (COVID-19), the annual transit public meetings have been canceled; however the public is still invited to give feedback on bus routes and service.

This year, there are several route change recommendations. Minor route changes are proposed for Routes 6, 7, 9, 29, 34 and 38, beginning August 2020.

Questions seeking feedback on these proposed changes will be featured on a Lawrence Listens questionnaire online at lawrenceks.org/lawrence-listens.

Maps showing further details of each route change will be available in the questionnaire along with an explanation of the reasons for the proposed changes. There will be an opportunity to leave feedback or questions on each route modification as well as general comments regarding transit service in Lawrence.

KU students, faculty and staff are invited to provide feedback via the KU Spring 2020 Transit Survey. Another option would be to email comments and questions to info@lawrencetransit.org or send a letter to Lawrence Transit System, PO Box 708, Lawrence, KS 66044.

Comments should be received by April 30.

For more information on bus routes and service, or for further details about the recommended route changes and a link to the questionnaire, please visit www.lawrencetransit.org.
