Beginning Thursday, April 30, the right lane of westbound 6th Street between Rockledge Road and Schwarz Road will be closed to facilitate a natural gas main replacement by Black Hills energy.
The project will also close the sidewalk on the north side of 6th Street from Rockledge to Schwarz. Construction is expected to last until May 20.
Traffic control will be in place, and pedestrian detours will be marked. All dates are subject to change pending weather and other construction-related delays. For more information on construction projects in Lawrence, visit www.lawrenceks.org/construction.
