Lawrence Parks and Recreation is on track to host Squad classes this October, helping children learn the value of teamwork.

Squad classes offer the chance for friends to team up in a series of gymnastics and ninja warrior activities. These 55-minute group-based sessions are available for groups of two to five participants, chosen by the parents and their children. Squads are divided into two age groups; preschool squad, three years-old to six years-old, and co-ed squad, ages six years-old to 14 years-old.

Squad is offered at East Lawrence Recreation Center 5:30 p.m. Mondays and Tuesdays, 6:30 p.m. Wednesdays, 4:30 p.m. Thursdays and 9 a.m. Saturdays. Sports Pavilion Lawrence also has sessions available on 4:30 p.m. or 5:30 p.m. Thursdays. The monthly fee to participate is $50 per child.
