LPRD offering two new youth volleyball clinics

Lawrence Parks and Recreation Department has two youth volleyball clinics scheduled for this fall.

Volleyball clinics teach the fundamentals of volleyball, focusing on the skills needed and the rules of the game to prepare children for school team competition. These clinics are for participants that want to improve their volleyball skills in a fun, player-centered environment, whether participants are a recreation player or play on a club team.

Youth Volleyball Game Time is for those in fourth grade through twelfth grade. It will run 6:30-8 p.m. Fridays, Oct. 2-16 at Sports Pavilion Lawrence, 100 Rock Chalk Lane. Cost is $30 per participant. This a coed clinic. Face coverings will be required. Enroll at http://lprd.org/activity?n=424550.

Fall Youth Volleyball Clinic is for those in fourth grade through eighth grade. It will run 1-2 p.m. Sundays, Oct. 4-18 at Sports Pavilion Lawrence, 100 Rock Chalk Lane. Cost is $36 per participant. This a coed clinic. Face coverings will be required. Enroll at http://lprd.org/activity?n=424555.

Registration can be done online with the clinic links listed above or at the Parks and Recreation Administrative Office in South Park, 1141 Massachusetts Street or Lawrence Indoor Aquatic Center, 4706 Overland Drive. All other locations are currently unavailable for in-person enrollment.
