Positive COVID-19 case at Boys & Girls Club operating at Sports Pavilion Lawrence

The City of Lawrence has learned that while operating at Sports Pavilion Lawrence, the Boys & Girls Club had a child who tested positive for COVID-19. The Boys & Girls Club is working closely with Lawrence-Douglas County Public Health (LDCPH), which has recommended that their site can remain open in Sports Pavilion Lawrence. The Boys & Girls Club has also notified the families who may have been affected.

Sports Pavilion Lawrence will remain open to the public with limited hours. Staff and visitors to Sports Pavilion Lawrence were not in close contact with Boys & Girls Club participants.

Boys & Girls Club staff wipes down their area several times each day and Sports Pavilion Lawrence maintenance staff conducts a sanitizing fogging each morning.
