The December meeting of the LPRD Advisory Board will be held 5:30 p.m. Monday, Jan 11. The Agenda for the meeting is now online. Due to the Governor’s Emergency Declaration and the Health Officer’s orders for safety, public meetings and public comment during public meetings will require modification. In order to comply with recommendations for social distancing, general public comments and comments for items on the agenda may be submitted to parksrec@lawrenceks.org or dropped off at the Parks and Recreation Administrative Office at 1141 Massachusetts Street no later than 12:00 p.m. on Monday, Jan. 11. General public comments received within the time-frame will be presented during the public comment period at the meeting and be included in the minutes of the meeting. Public comments for items on the agenda will be presented during the public comment period of the agenda item at the meeting. Comments received after that timeline are not guaranteed to be considered at the meeting.
Those wishing to make live comments for items on the agenda or for general public comment may do so remotely or in person at the meeting. All public comment, either via remote attendance or in-person, is limited to three minutes. In-person comments will be reserved for those without access to technology options and are limited to one person for public comment in the meeting room at a time. Those wishing to participate remotely with public comment, which will be accommodated via web conference (requires internet connection) or telephone, should register with Zoom via this link:

After registration, you will receive detailed information from Zoom via e-mail to enter the virtual meeting. This can be done in advance of the meeting or at any time during the meeting. For questions on how to register, please contact the Parks and Recreation office by calling 785.832.3450 before 5 pm on Monday, Jan. 11. If participating remotely, individuals will be required to submit their name, email address or telephone number, and the item they wish to speak about. Commenters will be called upon by name to provide comments during the live meeting.
