Gain martial arts skills with Little Dragons!

Lawrence Parks and Recreation Department is holding winter martial arts classes for younger students.

Little Dragons, open to children ages five years-old to seven years-old, teaches the basic martial arts stances, coordination development and helps build physical control and balance. Participants will also gain confidence, an increased attention span and respect for others in a positive and fun environment.

The class will be held 12-12:40 p.m. Sundays, Feb. 7-March 7, at the Community Building, 115 West 11th St. Cost is $22 per student.

This program requires face coverings to be worn at all times and follows COVID-19 safety guidelines, which can be found at https://assets.lawrenceks.org/lprd/covid/Fitnessmartialarts.pdf.

Conditions will be continuously monitored and reviewed in consultation with public health professionals. Status updates will continue to be updated every Thursday to indicate the current risk level using green, yellow, orange or red based on the number of new cases, trends and percentage of positive COVID-19 test to mirror Lawrence-Douglas County Health’s recommendations being used for the Smart and Safe School Reopening Guidelines and Status for county schools.
