Join Lawrence Parks and Recreation Department’s Prairie Park Nature Center in a discussion on Nature Sleuths.

For children six years-old to 13 years-old, Nature Sleuths allows participants to discover, discuss and learn about the mysteries of nature and science. Each session of this program will provide a different topic of discussion.

The program is being held 3:30–4:30 p.m. Wednesday, Feb. 17, at Prairie Park Nature Center, 2730 Harper St. Additional sessions with other topics will be held 3:30-4:30 p.m. Wednesdays, Feb. 24, and March 26. Cost is $10 per participant, per session.

This program requires face coverings to be worn at all times and follows COVID-19 safety guidelines, which can be found at

Conditions will be continuously monitored and reviewed in consultation with public health professionals. Status updates will continue to be updated every Thursday to indicate the current risk level using green, yellow, orange or red based on the number of new cases, trends and percentage of positive COVID-19 test to mirror Lawrence-Douglas County Health’s recommendations being used for the Smart and Safe School Reopening Guidelines and Status for county schools.
