Yard waste collection suspended week of Feb. 15-19 due to extreme cold

The City of Lawrence’s Solid Waste Division has suspended yard waste collection for the week of February 15-19 due to the extreme cold in Lawrence over the past few days and predicted into next week. Yard waste collection will begin again as scheduled on February 22.

UPDATED FEBRUARY 16: Trash will still be collected as scheduled the week of February 15-19. Recycling collection will be delayed by one day this week with Monday routes completed on Tuesday, Tuesday on Wednesday, Wednesday on Thursday, Thursday on Friday, and Friday on Saturday.

The Solid Waste Division asks that residents hold on to their yard waste until collection begins again.
