Start off the Spring with LPRD’s Yoga Stretch

Lawrence Parks and Recreation Department is accepting enrollment for a fitness class that combines yoga and stretching.

Yoga Stretch is a unique fitness class that combines yoga and stretching for flexibility and relaxation. During this class, participants will focus on coordination, balance and increasing their range of motion. A mat is required for this class.

The class is open to participants 15 years-old and older and will be held 5:30–6:30 p.m. Mondays, March 15-May 17, at Holcom Park Recreation Center, 2700 W. 27th St. Cost is $42 per participant.

This class requires face coverings being worn at all times and are following COVID-19 safety guidelines, which can be found at https://assets.lawrenceks.org/lprd/covid/fitnessmartialarts.pdf.

Conditions will be continuously be monitored and reviewed in consultation with public health professionals. Status updates will continue to be updated every Thursday to indicate the current risk level using green, yellow, orange or red based on the number of new cases, trends and percentage of positive COVID-19 test to mirror Lawrence-Douglas County Health’s recommendations being used for the Smart and Safe School Reopening Guidelines and Status for county schools.
