Multi-Modal Transportation Commission call for Bike/Pedestrian Projects

Kevin PowellAdvisory Boards, City, Metropolitan Planning Organization, Municipal Services and Operations

As part of the Non-Motorized Projects Prioritization Policy, the City of Lawrence Multi-Modal Transportation Commission is seeking input from Lawrence residents for non-motorized projects for the 2022-26 Five-Year Capital Improvement Plan. The commission is asking Lawrence residents what bicycle/pedestrian accommodation projects they would like to see completed in the near future. Types of projects can include, but are not limited to, sidewalks, bike facilities, crossing improvements, shared-use paths, etc.

Lawrence residents can submit their project proposals online using the Lawrence Listens Survey platform: lawrenceks.org/listens/surveys. Submissions should be as detailed as possible, including type of infrastructure requested, location, and any relevant information related to the project idea. Please note that all projects submitted will be evaluated for appropriateness before being included in the plan.

The survey will be open until April 12.
