Pilates bringing a new way to unwind

Lawrence Parks and Recreation Department’s to host spring Pilates program.

Pilates offers participants a challenging workout for your core, arms, legs, and lower body that creates flexibility, balance and strength. This total body workout infuses Pilates with a hint of yoga and basic ballet fundamentals that will tone and elongate your muscles. Participants will see results quickly and eliminate stress with this fusion of low impact movement. This class requires a yoga mat.

This class will be held 12:10-12:50 a.m. Mondays and Wednesdays, March. 15-May. 19, at Sports Pavilion Lawrence®, 100 Rock Chalk Lane. Cost is $67 per person.

This class requires face coverings being worn at all times and are following COVID-19 safety guidelines, which can be found at https://assets.lawrenceks.org/lprd/covid/fitnessmartialarts.pdf.

Conditions will be continuously be monitored and reviewed in consultation with public health professionals. Status updates will continue to be updated every Thursday to indicate the current risk level using green, yellow, orange or red based on the number of new cases, trends and percentage of positive COVID-19 test to mirror Lawrence-Douglas County Health’s recommendations being used for the Smart and Safe School Reopening Guidelines and Status for county schools.
