LPRD’s youth dance workshops continue this May
Lawrence Parks and Recreation Department is hosting another workshop for young dancers.
Celebrate this Star Wars Day in style with a themed workshop for your little ones. In this workshop, participants will learn a mix of balance, turning and spotting in a fun and engaging environment.
The hour-long workshop is open to participants four years-old to seven years-old and will be held 5:30-6:30 p.m. Tuesday, May 4, at the Community Building, 115 W. 11th St. Cost is $10 per child. Additional themed dance workshops will continue Tuesdays and Saturdays throughout the spring and summer.

This class requires face coverings to be worn at all times and follows COVID-19 safety guidelines, which can be found at https://assets.lawrenceks.org/lprd/covid/dance.pdf.
Conditions will be continuously monitored and reviewed in consultation with public health professionals. Status updates will continue to be updated every Thursday to indicate the current risk level using green, yellow, orange or red based on the number of new cases, trends and percentage of positive COVID-19 test to mirror Lawrence-Douglas County Health’s recommendations being used for the Smart and Safe School Reopening Guidelines and Status for county schools.
