LPRD to offer Spatastic camp this summer

Lawrence Parks and Recreation Department is offering an interactive new camp centering around the creation of fun bath supplies.

Spatastic gives young people seven years-old to 12 years-old a chance transform their bath into a frothy, fizzing sea of color and fragrance. Campers are able to make and bring home fragrant bath gels, aromatherapy oils, bath fizzers, spa lotions, face masks, oatmeal soap, shampoo and more. The weeklong camp is instructed by Mad Science of Kansas City.

Spatastic is being held Monday-Friday, June 14-18, at the Community Building, 115 West 11th St. Cost for the program is $165 per camper and includes all necessary supplies.

This program recommends face coverings to be worn at all times and follows COVID-19 safety guidelines.
