Beginning Monday, August 2, City crews will close westbound 19th Street at Mississippi Street to repair the roadway extending to Maine Street. The eastbound lane of 19th Street will remain open during the work. Due to the nature of the work, the roadway is expected to remain closed until Friday, August 13, to allow for proper cure time for new concrete.
Traffic control will be in place and suggested detours will be marked. Detours will utilize Louisiana Street to direct traffic to 23rd Street, routing traffic around the construction and back to 19th Street via Naismith Drive.
