Due to issues with collection trucks, City solid waste crews were unable to complete yard waste collection services on August 24 for some Tuesday routes. Most routes were collected, but the area of 6th Street to 9th Street from Delaware Street to Michigan Street were unable to be picked up. Due to Tuesday’s delay, yard waste collection for the remainder of the week may also be delayed by one day.
These delays affect yard waste collection only. Trash and recycling routes remain on schedule.
Crews will work diligently to return to regularly scheduled collection days for yard waste. Customers should still place their yard waste carts at the curb for their regular collection day. If yard waste carts are not emptied on the regular collection day, customers should leave the cart at the curb for collection on the following day.
