Prepare for winter hazards with LPRD’s Resilient Falling

Lawrence Parks and Recreation Department is currently accepting registration for Resilient Falling.

Resilient Falling helps participants prepare for the challenges of winter by exploring the components of balance, strengthening leg and core muscles, increasing mindfulness and becoming aware of hazards in the environment. Half of the class will be informational while the other half will consist of active physical participation through practicing safe falling.

The class is offered 2:30-4:30 p.m. Fridays, Nov. 5-12, at East Lawrence Recreation Center, 1245 E. 15th St. Cost is $27. Participants must be able to get up from the floor with relative ease.
