Start learning a new trade or hobby with LPRD’s Welding class

Lawrence Parks and Recreation is offering a three-session course teaching the basics of welding.

In this class, co-sponsored with Peaslee Tech, participants will learn welding safety, shop tool safety, wire types and sizes, proper equipment set-up and the right way to perform a weld bead. Welding is available to anyone 18 years-old or older. All welding equipment is provided for each participant.

Welding is held 8 a.m.-12 p.m. Saturdays, Feb. 12-26, at Peaslee Tech, 2920 Haskell Ave., Suite 100. Cost is $275 per person.
