Homeschooled students to get fieldtrip opportunities with PPNC program

Lawrence Parks and Recreation Department’s Prairie Park Nature Center is offering a series of fieldtrip programs for homeschooled students to engage with nature.

Homeschool Science Fieldtrips is open to children ages six years-old to 13 years-old and allows participants to join Prairie Park Nature Center for unique field trips. The trips combine live animal programs with outdoor field investigations. A different topic will be presented each class.

Programs will be held 10 a.m.-Noon on Wednesday, April 13, Monday, April 25 and Monday, May 9, at Prairie Park Nature Center, 2730 Harper St. Cost is $10 per child, per fieldtrip.
