LPRD’s Melt and Pour Soapmaking workshop makes cleaning fun

Join Lawrence Parks and Recreation Department’s Prairie Park Nature Center in a soap-making workshop that encourages cleaner hands.

Melt and Pour Soapmaking lets participants experiment with colors and scents to create unique soaps using bases that melt and pour into molds. All materials are provided. Children under 14 years-old must be accompanied by a registered adult.

It is open to those 8 years-old and older and will be held 2-4 p.m. Sunday, June 12, at Prairie Park Nature Center, 2730 Harper St. Cost is $10 per participant.
