LAWRENCE – Lawrence Parks and Recreation Department’s recreation management software, RecTrac, is having maintenance performed on Monday, May 23, and will prevent enrollments, rental reservations and service items sales to take place.
Online enrollment will be unavailable beginning 8 p.m. Sunday, May 22.
During the shutdown, all registrations, rental reservations and service item sales including cemetery plot sales will not be able to be conducted online or at any LPRD facility. Eagle Bend will be taking tee times, which may be scheduled by calling Eagle Bend Golf Course at (785) 748-0600 and the Lawrence Indoor Aquatic Center, 4706 Overland Drive, will be open for lap swimmers. During the maintenance period, transactions for golf and the pool will only be accepted by cash or check.
As part of the maintenance, a new requirement will be implemented regarding passwords for online accounts, making them more secure. When users change their passwords, they will be required to set up a complex password consisting of at least 10 characters, including a mix of upper and lower case letters, numbers and special characters. The new requirement is to increase security of all data.
The maintenance should be completed by mid-afternoon. Notification will be made on the department’s social media platforms Twitter and Facebook.
