Join LPRD’s Salsa Workshop for beginner, intermediate dance lessons

Lawrence Parks and Recreation Department is accepting enrollments for Beginning/Intermediate Salsa Workshop, a three-hour crash course in the basics of salsa dancing.

Participants will learn the movements and concepts necessary to finesse the art of salsa dancing, a style of Cuban dance that combines components from various Latin dances. The class will include a presentation of proper footwork, discussion of Cuban motion and creation of torque for turns.

Beginning/Intermediate Salsa Workshop is offered for anyone 15 years-old or older this Sunday, July 10, from 1:15-4:15 p.m., at Sports Pavilion Lawrence®, 100 Rock Chalk Lane. Cost is $20 per person. Partner enrollment is required.
