Starting this week, some Lawrence businesses will begin receiving invitations to participate in a business community survey asking for their feedback on City programs and services, as well as their overall satisfaction with doing business in Lawrence. The survey is being administered by ETC Institute, one of the nation’s leading firms in the field of local government research.
Businesses randomly selected to participate in this survey will receive an invitation and instructional letter in the mail along with the survey. The invitations will be sent to the business address, so please keep an eye out for it. If you receive an invitation to participate, we ask that you please take the time to complete every question. Your input is invaluable and the time invested in this survey will influence decisions made about the future of the City of Lawrence.
All survey data will be compiled and analyzed by ETC Institute. They will present the results to the City this fall, and results will also be made available on the City website. All individual responses to the survey will remain confidential.
At this time, only those who were randomly selected and received an invitation will be able to respond to the survey. This is to ensure we hear from a diverse range of residents and so the survey data will be statistically viable.
This business community survey is an important part of the City’s strategic plan and will influence budget decisions. The City Commission received information about the 2022 Business Community Survey on July 19, 2022, and that information is linked here. This will be the City’s first survey of the business community at-large. More information and results will be shared at the conclusion of the survey.
