Lawrence Parks and Recreation Department is offering Zumba fitness classes for the fall season.
Zumba is a Latin-inspired dance fitness class incorporating international music and dance movements, creating a dynamic, exciting and effective fitness program. Zumba combines fast and slow rhythms that tone and sculpt the body using an aerobic fitness approach to achieve a unique blended balance of cardio and muscle-toning benefits.
Zumba is open to anyone 15 years-old or older. Sessions are offered:
- 12:10-12:50 p.m., Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays, Sept. 12-Dec. 16, at Holcom Park Recreation Center, 2700 West 27th St. Cost is $111.
- 5:30-6:25 p.m., Mondays, Sept. 12-Dec. 12, at the Community Building, 115 West 11th St. Cost is $48.
- 5-5:50 p.m., Tuesdays, Sept. 13-Dec. 13, at Sports Pavilion Lawrence®, 100 Rock Chalk Lane. Cost is $52.
- 5:30-6:25 p.m., Wednesdays, Sept. 14-Dec. 14, at the Community Building. Cost is $52.
- 9-9:50 a.m., Saturdays, Sept. 17-Dec. 17, at Sports Pavilion Lawrence®. Cost is $52.
