LPRD to offer family-friendly holiday activities with Reindeer Games

Lawrence Parks and Recreation Department is hosting a holiday event created just for kids.

In Reindeer Games, participants five years-old and older will gather outdoors for a variety of holiday-themed activities including Snowman Bowling, Fishing for Candy Canes, Iceberg Hop, Santa’s Sleigh Relay, a guided kids’ craft and more. Enrollment is required for the kids’ craft, but the games are open to the public.

The event is free and will be held 11 a.m.-1 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 17, at South Park, 1141 Massachusetts St. In the event of inclement weather, the event will be held at the Community Building, Community Room 1, located at 115 W. 11th St.
