Valentine’s Day Market and Hot Cocoa Contest seeks competitors, vendors

Lawrence Parks and Recreation Department is hosting the first annual Valentine’s Day Market and Hot Cocoa Contest on Saturday, Feb. 11, at the historic Carnegie Building, 200 West 9th St. The market is free and open to the public.

The Valentine’s Day Market will host a variety of food and craft vendors and will be open 10 a.m.-4 p.m., with the Hot Cocoa Contest beginning at 1 p.m.

Vendor spaces are $35 and include one eight-foot table, with electricity and additional tables available in limited supply. Chairs will not be provided and it is recommended for vendors to bring their own. Food or concessions vendors must contact LPRD prior to registration using the information below.

The Hot Cocoa Contest is open to anyone and costs $5 to enter. Contestants’ creations will undergo a judging process before winners are announced and awarded with a small prize.
