NOTICE TO OUTSIDE AGENCIES:

In 2004, the City Commission meetings and study sessions began utilizing “web-based agendas” and to that end, all documents related to items under consideration by the City Commission are now received and transmitted in an electronic format.  For the 2007 budget process, we are requiring that you submit the “2007 Outside Agency Funding Request Form” in electronic format, as well as any supporting documents.  The Request Form can be e-mailed to you (as an Excel document) or you can download it from the City’s website at www.lawrenceks.org (go to the 2007 budget section).  Supporting documents for funding request should be submitted in Word format.  The 2007 Budget Process Calendar is kept current and available for viewing at this site as well.   

The deadline for submission of your request for funding is 5:00 p.m., Monday, April 10, 2006.  Please submit the “Request Form” and your supporting documents via e-mail attachments to dvansaun@ci.lawrence.ks.us.

We anticipate the City Commission using a small committee format for the 2007 budget process.  Two City Commissioners will review the “Request Forms” and make a subsequent recommendation to the City Commission regarding funding levels for the 2007 budget year.  Agencies will not be making presentations to the City Commission this year.
