Due to the ongoing winter storm, City facilities, including City Hall and all Parks, Recreation and Culture facilities, will be closed on Tuesday, Feb. 18. This is due to the forecasted winter storm resulting in dangerous travel conditions.

Welcome to the 2022 Virtual Open Enrollment!

Open Enrollment is October 25th – November 15th, 2021.

Open Enrollment Meetings – During open enrollment, Ashley Kim will host Zoom meetings that will be open to all benefits-eligible employees from 10/25/21 to 11/15/20.  Other call in times are available by appointment at 785-813-9679 or email: akim@lawrenceks.org. Note: Open enrollment meetings are listed by the departments, however, any employee is welcome to join any open enrollment meeting dates and times.

Virtual Open Enrollment Calendar

Please note the following important information regarding this year’s open enrollment.

  • If employees do not changes for 01/01/2022, then no action is required.
  • No increase in healthcare premiums, per pay check contributions remain the same for all coverage levels.
  • No increase to deductible or out of pocket maximum.
  • All open enrollment changes will need to be made through bswift cityoflawrence.bswift.com
    • Your username for bswift is your first initial of first name and full last name.
    • All passwords have been reset to the last 4 of your SSN, even if you have created a unique password in the past.
    • After enrolling/making changes, you’ll be able to print a confirmation page.
  • You must re-enroll in a Flexible Spending Account – Health and Dependent Care annual contributions for 2022
  • You must re-enroll Fitness Gym Memberships – Fitness Club enrollments must be done via paper
  • You will be required to submit an “Evidence of Insurability” (medical/health statement) if you wish to elect Supplemental/Voluntary Life Insurance
  • Aetna Health Plan enhancements include:
    • In-network coverage of mental health and substance abuse treatment at 100%, not subject to deductible or coinsurance
    • Coronary calcium score testing will be covered at 100% as a preventive service
  • Delta Dental Plan enhancements include:
    • Addition of Orthodontia coverage for dependents to age 19 – 50% coverage to a lifetime maximum of $2,000
    • RightStartforKids – this program covers all dental treatment (except Orthodontia) at 100% for children aged 12 and under
  • Elixir Rx:
    • Best-In-Class (BIC) Optimizer for Specialty Generics: A few select branded specialty products that have an FDA-approved generic alternative will not be covered. The generic alternative will be covered at a $0 copay. Specialty brands/generics are added or removed from the list twice each year, occurring on 1/1 and 7/1
  • Advance Dependent Life covers children up to age 26
