Lawrence Parks, Recreation and Culture Department offers rental space within the community’s recreational facilities. LPRD facilities serve as a great location for any of your personal and public events, including:

EVENT FACILITIES
ALL EVENT FACILITY RENTALS MUST BE ARRANGED IN PERSON AT THE COMMUNITY BUILDING, 115 W. 11TH St. EVENT FACILITY RENTALS MUST BE A MINIMUM OF 3 HOURS. The use of folding tables and chairs is included in the rental fee for all public facilities, excluding gymnasiums, the Community Building’s dance studio and the garden at the Lawrence Union Pacific Depot. LPRD will provide set up and take down services for your event for a fee, or you may choose to handle it yourself. Blueprints of the public rooms at each recreation facility appear on their rental pages for your convenience. Please review Rental Rules and Regulations before making a reservation. For larger events, a Special Use Permit needs to be submitted and approved prior to finalizing the reservation.
