  • Coached one of the first Lawrence travel teams to play in the Shawnee County Amateur Baseball Association.

  • Coached American Legion Baseball with Al and Tony Ice
  • Was best known for his ability to get fields ready for play
  • Did extensive fund raising and assisted with the American Legion Pancake Feed

1980’s

  • Served on the American Legion Baseball Committee
  • Died December 25, 1983
