211 North 4th Street
HISTORY
The original Walnut Park was located at 7th and Walnut Sts., but it was renamed John Taylor Park in 1978. The current Walnut Park, located at 211 N. 4th St., was also named for its location on Walnut, as was its predecessor.
DESCRIPTION OF PARK
This park is located along the Kansas River in North Lawrence at 4th and Walnut Sts.
The amenities of the park include:

- Tables and or Benches
- A Gazebo
If you are looking to reserve an outdoor shelters and/or indoor facility, reservations are taken at any of the community recreation centers including the Community Building, 115 West 11th St.; East Lawrence Recreation Center, 1245 East 15th St.; Holcom Park Recreation Center, 2700 West 27th St.; Lawrence Indoor Aquatic Center, 4706 Overland Drive; or Sports Pavilion Lawrence, 100 Rock Chalk Lane.
