Volunteering for Individuals

Join the Prairie Park Nature Center family! We need caring, active volunteers. Every act of service that you complete helps us reach our mission to educate the public about the natural world and promote environmental conservation. Volunteers must work a minimum of three hours per week. Volunteers will support nature center operations primarily by assisting with animal care. Volunteers may additionally assist with programs, special events, and other endeavors they may be interested in.

If you are interested in volunteering at Prairie Park Nature Center, please e-mail naturecenter@lawrenceks.org with a few sentences indicating your interest. Use the subject line “PROSPECTIVE VOLUNTEER.” We will send you a volunteer application. Volunteers must additionally fill out a waiver and undergo a background check.
