Summer Concerts

Due to the ongoing winter storm, City facilities, including City Hall and all Parks, Recreation and Culture facilities, will be closed on Tuesday, Feb. 18. This is due to the forecasted winter storm resulting in dangerous travel conditions.

The Following is the concert schedule and the theme for the evenings music:

WED., MAY 28 – TONIGHT’S LAWRENCE CITY BAND CONCERT
HAS BEEN MOVED TO THE LIED CENTER, 1600 STEWART DRIVE
DUE TO THE FORECAST OF RAIN

  • June 4 – Hark, Do You Hear the Sea? – Martin Bergee, conducting
  • June 11 – Duke Ellington, Taylor Swift and Journey – Paul Popiel, conducting
  • June 18 – A Tribute to Leroy Anderson – Martin Bergee, conducting
  • June 25 – Hollywood Days! – Martin Bergee, conducting
  • July 2 – America the Beautiful – Martin Bergee, conducting
  • July 9 – Hollywood Nights! – Paul Popiel, conducting
  • July 16 – Summer Finale – Paul Popiel, conducting
    • In the event of inclement weather, the concert will be held at the Lied Center, 1600 Stewart Drive, on the University of Kansas campus.
