Review and Comment on the draft Transportation 2040 Plan

The Lawrence-Douglas County Metropolitan Planning Organization (MPO) has begun a 30-day public comment period for the draft Transportation 2040 Plan. The plan identifies future needs and makes investment recommendations for all modes of transportation including automobile, public transit, bicycle, pedestrian, etc. This draft plan is the collection of the input from two phases of public engagement conducted throughout 2017. This plan is required by federal regulations to ensure funding for future transportation projects in Lawrence and Douglas County.

Public Comment Period: February 1, 2018 to March 2, 2018. Comments received on or before March 2, 2018 will be considered for the final document, to be presented to the Lawrence-Douglas County Metropolitan Planning Organization (MPO) Policy Board for consideration at their March 15, 2018 regular meeting, 3pm in the Lawrence City Commission Room.
