The City of Lawrence is thrilled to announce the completion of our 6th St. improvements projects! These improvements will help to improve the road as well as provide a host of other benefits for travelers and residents of Lawrence.
6th St. was last repaved more than 10 years ago, and this investment in maintenance is essential to prevent further damage and impacts to traffic. Though there will be impacts to traffic as these projects continue, the City intends to maintain traffic flow across 6th St. during these construction projects.
Below, we have provided a list of the various projects that are ongoing along 6th St. to best prepare you, your family, and your organization for potential traffic impacts.
