Project Summary

The 2023 ADA Pedestrian Improvements Project will include the following segments which can be found on this webpage: 2023 ADA Pedestrian Improvements Project

For all Property Owners

As part of the repair work, the City’s contractor will be required to remove and replace concrete sidewalk in the right-of-way adjacent to your property. Any private infrastructure or improvements in the right-of-way (i.e., irrigation, landscaping, plants, etc.) may be removed by the contractor if necessary for construction. Any damage to private infrastructure or improvements in the right-of-way will not be repaired or replaced by the contractor or the City. To ensure nothing is damaged during construction, we encourage you to relocate any private infrastructure that may conflict with the sidewalk project before August 30, 2024.

Property Owner Responsibility

In 2023, crews inspected sidewalks in the above segments as part of the Sidewalk Improvement Program. Owners will be responsible for the cost of the existing hazards adjacent to their property. The hazards that property owners are responsible for repairing are marked in pink paint. City responsibilities are marked in white paint.

You may repair the sidewalk yourself, hire a contractor of your choosing, or have the City’s contractor perform the repairs as part of the City’s 2023 ADA Pedestrian Improvements Project. The City’s contractor charges $6.60 per square foot. You will not have to pay for the replacement of sidewalk in good condition. We sent a letter in July 2024 to property owners detailing this information.

Anticipated Schedule

  1. Construction Begins – Late-August 2024
  2. Construction Ends – November 2024
