As part of the Municipal Services & Operations Department’s Capital Improvement Projects, a project replacing the existing Stratford Water Tower located in Water Tower Park at Sunset Drive and Stratford Road is planned for construction starting in Spring 2021.

The current water tower was constructed in 1954 and stores 500,000 gallons of water, providing storage capacity for the West Hills service area.

The City is currently in the design phase for the new water tower. The project involves the replacement of the water tower, the surrounding cast iron waterline and appurtenances, and the housing structure for the Douglas County Emergency Management communications equipment. The project budget is approximately $3.8 Million.
