New School’s Out Program scheduled
Lawrence Parks and Recreation Department’s School’s Out, Theatre’s In (S.O.T.I.) is a new kid’s camp offered in partnership with Theatre Lawrence to give children the chance to enhance their skills in theatre.
S.O.T.I. is open to children six years-old to 12 years-old and will provide kids the opportunity to sing, dance and act their way into a show where a group can perform on stage. With the staff at Theatre Lawrence, everyone will act, sing, make props, costumes, dance and perform. Camp will be held 9 a.m.-4 p.m. Monday, Jan. 16, at Theatre Lawrence, 4660 Bauer Farm Drive. Cost is $50 per child. Participants are asked to bring a sack lunch.
Additional S.O.T.I programs will be held Feb. 17, Feb. 23-24, March 10 and March 17.
