Due to the ongoing winter storm, City facilities, including City Hall and all Parks, Recreation and Culture facilities, will be closed on Tuesday, Feb. 18. This is due to the forecasted winter storm resulting in dangerous travel conditions.

Emergency Solutions Grant (ESG)

The Emergency Solutions Grant Program (ESG) is a federal block grant administered by HUD to be used for services to homeless and near homeless individuals and families in these major areas:

  • Renovation, major rehabilitation or conversion of buildings for use as emergency shelter facilities
  • Payment of certain expenses related to operating emergency shelter facility
  • Provision of essential services related to emergency shelters and street outreach for the homeless
  • Provision of rapid re-housing assistance
  • Development and implementation of homelessness prevention activities
  • Investment Projects
