RE:	Vacation of Utility Easement, 801 N 7^th Street, Megan Willesen

Background

On November 3, 2015, the City Commission will hold a public hearing to consider the vacation of a utility easement; described as:

The 10’ utility easement on the south and west sides of Lot B of a replat of the south half of lots one and two, in addition No. 5, North Lawrence, in the City of Lawrence, Douglas County, Kansas (aka 801 N. 7^th Street)                              

The owner Megan Willesen proposes the vacation for renovation of an existing detached garage, a portion of which was built on top of the easement. 

All utilities, as well as property owners within 200 feet, were notified.  No objections were received. 

Action Request

Conduct public hearing and pending discussion, approve order of vacation for a utility easement at 701 N. 8^th Street, as requested by property owner Megan Willesen.
