City receives grant for Safe Routes to School:

The City received a Safe Routes to School (SRTS) Grant in the amount of $15,000 and Staff will be working with the School District and Douglas County Health Department on the development of a plan.   Grant Award Notification

 

Bob Billings Parkway and George Williams Way Intersection Update:

David Cronin has provided an update on the Bob Billings Parkway and George Williams Way Intersection Improvement Project.   Staff Memo

 

October Building Permit Reports:

The Building Safety Division issued 182 building permits in October, with total construction for the month valued at $7,036,931.  Total permit fees assessed for the month were $55,208.  Permits were issued for twelve (12) new residential projects, including ten (10) single-family dwellings and two (2) duplexes.   Staff Memo    October Permit Report   Year to Date Report

 

2014 Bicycle and Pedestrian Counts:

In September 2014, the Metropolitan Planning Organization staff concluded the 2014 Bicycle and Pedestrian Counts as part of the annual submission to the National Bicycle and Pedestrian Documentation Project (NBPDP). This is the sixth year participating in the project. The count would not have been possible without the help of 28 volunteers from our community. Please see the attached memo for more information.

 

Sports Pavilion Lawrence Usage Update:

The Parks & Recreation Department has provided the attached update on the usage at Sports Pavilion Lawrence.
