Lawrence Parks and Recreation Department’s recreational youth boys and girls indoor soccer program is taking registrations for its winter leagues. Deadline to register is Wednesday, Jan. 2.
The recreational youth indoor soccer program is designed to teach boys and girls the rules and fundamentals of soccer and is open to boys and girls in kindergarten through eighth grades. Teams and leagues will be created based on current grade level and school attended, though teams may not be made up of only one school. Leagues are organized and played as competitive but are recreational in nature. Practices begin the week of Monday, Jan. 14. Games will be held on Saturdays, Jan. 26-March 2.
The registration fee is $50 per child for kindergarten-fourth grades and $60 per child fifth-eighth grades. Fee includes game shirts. No refunds will be given after teams have formed.
