Pay Range: $48,746 to $70,682 Annually
(Starting Salary Typically at Entry-to-Mid Level of Pay Range, DOQ)

RESPONSIBILITIES:  This position will conduct analytical and technical duties in support of the Lawrence-Douglas County Fire Medical department.  These duties include data analysis of department performance measures, community risk assessment evaluations, research and analysis of organizational operations and programs; statistical data calculations; oversight of selected grant processes; creating and presenting reports; maintaining records and files; collaboration on development and implementation of goals, objectives, policies, and priorities for the assigned division; aid in identifying resource needs; recommends and drafts policies and procedures.
The Fire-Medical Analyst also coordinates departmental activities related to the agency accreditation process; develops proofs for compliance with accreditation standards; prepares policy drafts; prepares written documentation and reports; maintains computer databases; coordinates on-site assessments and inspections; tracks the submission of required administrative reports; and works closely with the department’s executive staff.

QUALIFICATIONS: Three years of increasingly responsible experience in public administration, business administration, public health, epidemiology, or a related field. Equivalent to a Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university with major coursework in business, public administration, public health, marketing, computer science, human resources, or a related field. A Master’s degree in a related field preferred. Possession of, or ability to obtain, a valid driver’s license required.
Supplemental training will be provided on the Commission on Fire Accreditation International’s continuous improvement model.
