Recycling your Christmas tree following the holidays is a great way to return it to nature. Lawrence residents may place live-cut trees at the curb or alley by 6:00 a.m. on their collection service day throughout the month of January. Christmas trees will be collected separate from trash and will be used for wildlife habitat. Please remove all artificial items including tinsel, lights, ornaments, and tree stands.
Due to the New Year’s Day holiday on Tuesday, January 1st, collection routes starting with Tuesday routes will be delayed by one day. Tuesday customers will receive collection service on Wednesday, Wednesday on Thursday, Thursday on Friday, and Friday on Saturday. Regular collection route schedule resumes for all other weeks in January.
