Municipal Services and Operations Department
Pay Range: $21.09 to $30.16 Per Hour, DOQ
RESPONSIBILITIES: Supervise/direct employees engaged in maintenance or operation of plant treatment facilities and other infrastructure and participate in the same, as needed. Position duties include managing budgeted funds; acquiring materials, chemicals and contracted services; employee training/evaluation; evaluation of water/wastewater system activities and operations; preparation of reports; safety compliance and other tasks as assigned. Position duties require competency in and ongoing use of various computer programs and other technologies. This position provides 24-hour emergency response, with on-call work required on a rotating basis as needed.
QUALIFICATIONS: Equivalent to completion of the 12th Grade and direct operational/maintenance experience with wastewater/water utility systems, operations, maintenance and/or information technology. Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office and related applications. At least three years of increasingly responsible utility treatment operations, maintenance and/or information technology experience preferred. Must have a valid, appropriate driver’s license and ability to obtain a Class B commercial driver’s license within the first six months of hire (depending on workgroup assignment). Must possess or have the ability to obtain job-required certifications to maintain employment.
