Find a new life balance with Tae Kwon Do

May 14, 2019

Lawrence Parks and Recreation Department is currently accepting registration for its summer Tae Kwon Do program.

Tae Kwon Do will help participants eight years-old and older develop control, balance and power through the practice of Tae Kwon Do form and one-step sparring. As participants mature in the art, they gain more than the ability to kick and punch. With improved coordination and reflexes, increased self-confidence, self-discipline and physical conditioning, students gain a greater respect for themselves, fellow students and people in society as a whole.

A class for those eight years-old to 12 years-old is offered 6:45-7:45 p.m. Tuesdays and Thursdays, June 4-August 22 and a class for those 13 years-old and older is offered 7:50-9:05 p.m., Tuesdays and Thursdays, June 4-August 22. Both classes will be held at East Lawrence Recreation Center, 1245 E. 15th St. Cost is $87 per student.
