LPRD to host Volleyball Camp giving youth chance to improve, develop skills

Lawrence Parks and Recreation Department, along with Lawrence Juniors Volleyball, is offering a skills camp for club and recreational volleyball players.

Volleyball Camp invites volleyball players ages seven years-old to 18 years-old into a player-centered environment where each individual is given opportunities to learn and advance their game. Volleyball Camp will be led by Traci Marcum, Lawrence Juniors Volleyball Club director, who has 17 years of experience of coaching and working with young athletes.

Volleyball Camp is available in two sessions: one for children ages seven years-old to 11 years-old and another for those 12 years-old to 18 years-old. Camp will be held 8-10 a.m. Monday-Thursday, July 22-25, for the younger group and 10 a.m.-12:30 p.m. Monday-Thursday, July 22-25, for the older group. Both sessions will be held at Sports Pavilion Lawrence, 100 Rock Chalk Lane. Cost is $100 per participant for those seven years-old to 11 years-old and $125 for those 12 years-old to 18 years-old.
