Lawrence Parks and Recreation Department’s Sports Pavilion Lawrence will once again be the site of Hardwood Event’s Hardwood Classic, Session I, Thursday-Sunday, July 18-21.
The Hardwood Classic is a 17 years-old and under tournament, showcasing more than 300 teams from across the nation with some of the top Division I prospects.
The tournament will utilize all eight courts in the sports pavilion and will prevent free play to the public for duration of the tournament. However, the other community recreation centers will have additional hours for free play. Their schedules are as follows:
Community Building, 115 W. 11th St.
Thursday, July 18 – 10 a.m.-9 p.m.
Friday, July 19 – 1-5 p.m.
Saturday, July 20 – noon-6 p.m.
Sunday, July 21 – 2-5 p.m.
East Lawrence Recreation Center, 1245 E. 15th St.
Thursday, July 18 – Noon-9 p.m.
Friday, July 19 – 9 a.m.-9 p.m.
Saturday, July 20 – 10 a.m.-6 p.m.
Sunday, July 21 – 2-6 p.m.
Holcom Park Recreation Center, 2700 W. 27th St.
Thursday, July 18 – Noon-6:30 p.m.
Friday, July 19 – Noon-6:30 p.m.
Saturday, July 20 – 10 a.m.-6 p.m.
Sunday, July 21 – Noon-6 p.m.
A second session of the Hardwood Classic will also be held and utilize all eight courts at Sports Pavilion Thursday-Sunday, July 25-28.
