Starting Tuesday, August 20, water main repairs will begin at 2nd Street and Iowa Street. Traffic flow on 2nd Street will be altered and water service will be affected for a number of households and businesses while repairs are made.
Westbound traffic on 2nd Street between Iowa Street and McDonald Drive will be reduced to one lane while repair work is being done. All westbound traffic on that portion of 2nd Street will be funneled to the north lane and forced to turn right at the Iowa Street intersection (see map below). Traffic control devices will be in place and detours will be marked. Motorists should expect delays in the area, especially during high traffic periods.
Customers affected by the repair work are being notified directly by Municipal Services & Operations staff who will be going door-to-door to speak with them and/or leave informational door tags.
Repair work is expected to last several days. Updates will be provided as necessary.
