LPRD’s Ninja Camp to teach parkour basics, safety

Lawrence Parks and Recreation Department is offering a spring break camp for kids to become a modern-day ninja.

Ninja Camp invites children six years-old to 11 years-old to learn the basics for maneuvering through obstacle courses and parkour training. Staff will guide participants through different setups throughout the week to introduce them to new situations and learn the best safety practices to utilize. The camp will be held 9 a.m.-4 p.m. Monday-Friday, March 9-13, at Sports Pavilion Lawrence, 100 Rock Chalk Lane. Cost is $150 per child.
